A lot of time and effort goes in to putting together the content for Genuine Physio, with the principal aim of motivating and empowering you to manage your conditions independently at home. With this in mind, there is nothing I love more than you letting me know that I have helped in some way, no matter how big or small.

TESTIMONIALS

1-1 Feedback

"Luke showed genuine interest. Accordingly, I found it easy to discuss matters. He is a very good listener and very patient, he listened to my concerns and acted on them. What I liked was that he promised to get back to me by the end of the day. Luke got in touch around 6pm. He kept his word. That meant a lot to me."

1-1 Feedback

"Luke was sympathetic & patient, he

was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I left the appointment with a better understanding of my condition and trust in the information and support given. I now feel much more confident managing my condition by myself and feel it was money incredibly well spent."

"I was definitely told by an orthopaedic surgeon that I would need a hip replacement within the next ten years. That was six years ago. My osteoarthritis hasn't got better or worse during this time. I get flare ups when I over do it, but I'm learning how to manage them better. Like most people, I did less activity during lock down, but tired to maintain physio exercises daily. Now I am focusing on rebuilding the muscle I have lost. These videos are little gobbets of motivation."

"This is such an important piece of information to share, so thank you. I'm sure many of us with O.A. will have felt guilty sometimes because we have had difficulty losing weight having been told how essential it is and that doesn't help us to lose weight. The information you have given us will help us with our weight loss journey by removing that guilt. So thank you once more."

"Thank you so much for the advice. I'm going through a flare up at the moment. I will subscribe and look forward to watching your other videos."

"This is an amazing channel. So much information. I've had hip O.A. for six years and have been really protective in my care, but no one (GP, surgeon, physio) has ever sat down with me and discussed these things. All I've ever been given is a few exercise which I was doing anyway because I've done yoga for years. I know a reasonable amount about pain because I've read 'Manage You pain' by Nicholas et al. I'm six years in after diagnosis and have a few issues to resolve, basically because I've sat around during lock down, who hasn't? I'm trying to rebuild strength, but am getting flare ups as I am working out how much exercise is enough and how much is too much."

"Luke Schembri, so useful...you just changed my direction (I was heading for surgery but didn't want it). You have given me more confidence and knowledge about myself. So grateful 💓."

"Thanks for the useful insights. I have been dealing with osteoarthritis in my foot for a few years - as an active runner, finding the perfect balance of activity has been stressful but worth it. Still have bothersome flare ups every so often that make me over analyse if I’m doing too much/if the increased pain is permanent, but it’s reassuring hearing your thoughts."

"It is so important to look at psychological and environmental factors. They commonly get missed!! Thanks for sharing!"

" Good information. I was told by the doctor to manage my O.A. but had no idea what that meant and/or how flare ups worked, etc. Thanks you..."
